What is the KPA?



The Journal of the Korea Planning Association is an official journal with the Korea Planning Association (KPA). Established in 1959, the KPA is the first and largest non-profit academic organization in urban and regional planning in South Korea. It has fostered the nationโ€™s planning studies and promoted knowledge sharing and exchange among its 8,000 members. The KPA has also strived to strengthen international relations with many international planning organizations and institutions. Consequently, it is a key organizer of the International Conference of Asian-Pacific Planning Societies in collaboration with its counterparts in Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam, and has memorandums of understanding (MoU) with the Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planners and Hong Kong Institute of Planners.
